Network Inference Based Gene Prioritization

Performing genetic studies frequently results in large lists of candidate genes of which only few can be followed up for further investigation. Gene prioritization establishes a ranking of candidate genes based on their relevance with respect to a biological process of interest, from which the most promising genes can be selected for further analysis. Gene prioritization based on network analysis is becoming a major issue in computational approaches towards bioinformatics. In plants there are few tools which can be used for finding new genes based on prioritization methods. That is my reason to develop a novel approach for gene prioritization.
